Some general questions I have a feeling you'll all have:
What are posts?
Posts are the things you say in response to what others say. Your post count will be put on the side in the thread; although post count isn't all that important, it is fun to try and get a lot.
What are threads?
Threads are the different categories within the major categories with a more specific area of discussion. I'm not sure it'll make sense... but yeah...
What are PM's?
Private Messages. They are messages you could personally send to another member of this board. Kinda like email, except all you need to know is the username and you can send it within this board. See the top? Where it says: "Hey, <username>, you have ___messages...", just press the different-colored link and it goes to your inbox! Just make sure that you send it to the person's username that they registered with, not the one that they may have changed it to for the purpose of the board.
What is UBB code?
A UBB code is another form of coding that's commonly used for message boards such as this. Everytime you click one of those pretty little buttons while writing your post (the bold, or italics), you put IB code in your post. In order to place links or images into your signature, you must know how to do this.
What are some of the most commonly used UBB codes?
[ i ] TEXT [ / i ] (Except without the spaces. If I didn't put the spaces, it would turn it italicized, and then you wouldn't have learned it in the first place): italicized
[ b ] TEXT [ / b ]: Bolded
[ s ] TEXT [ / s ]: Strikethrough

What is a signature?
A signature shows up after every one of your post. You can have a picture, or a saying. These can be changed in your profile.
How do I put a picture in my signature?
First of all, make sure you're NOT hotlinking. That is bad. Second, go to your profile and scroll down to the part where it talks about your signature. If you made your own picture (via photoshop, etc.) upload it to your own server, then put [img] (url of your picture) [ /i m g ] in the space for it. You can also use this tag to put pics in the actual body of your post.
What is hotlinking?
Hotlinking is a horrible, horrible thing that people sometimes don't really notice they're doing. Find out more about it here.
How do I put a website link?
[ u r l ] (website url) [ / u r l] (once again without spaces)
What's an avatar?
It's that pretty little picture you can put right under your name when you post. That can be changed in your profile. You can choose either a picture from the little menu or make your own and upload it onto your own server, and using that url in the little box asking for "want a custom avatar?" The max is 100 x 100, so take heed of that before your picture gets distorted.
